Frequently asked questions

DO YOU CUT or STYLE HAIR?

At the moment, we do not offer hair cutting or styling services. We are actively looking for a groomer and will notify our community via email once we find someone who aligns with our values and goals.

Do I have to make an appointment even for self-service?

Ideally, yes. Appointments are strongly recommended.

Wednesdays and Thursdays typically have more availability. Weekends tend to fill quickly, so we suggest calling ahead before coming in to ensure we have space.

Appointments allow us to:

  • Allocate adequate time for each pet

  • Limit the number of people in the shop

  • Properly disinfect between appointments

  • Reduce stress for dogs, including reactive pets

How long is the tcmb appointment?

Our goal is efficiency without compromising quality.

  • All-Inclusive Brush & Wash: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 2 hours

  • Thera-Clean Micro-Bubble (TCMB): 1–2 hours total

    • The micro-bubble soak itself lasts 15–20 minutes

    • Drying is the most time-intensive portion of the appointment

My pet hasn’t been groomed in a while, can I bring him/her in for a wash OR tcmb?

Regular grooming is essential component of having a pet. If you are in-between grooming sessions, then yes, the Wash and TCMB only enhances to your dog’s overall well-being.

However, if you haven’t seen a groomer in a while and have a long-haired pet, we’d recommend you make an appointment with them first. Wetting your dog’s matted hair will only cause more tightening of the skin and more painful to your dog.

As for the TCMB, remember, the micro-bubbles need to enter the pore. If there is matting, you will not see the benefits of this bath. Thus, wasting your money and time.

If we see matting we will refer you to a groomer and re-schedule the appointment.

Can I just drop off my pet at Pawtanicals and come back later?

No. Pawtanicals does not offer dog-sitting or kennel services.

For Brush & Wash appointments:

  • We provide an estimated pickup window

  • You will receive a call 10–15 minutes before completion

  • Dogs must be picked up promptly

After a 15-minute grace period, a fee of $1.00 per minute will automatically apply.

Please note: we do not have holding kennels.

Do I need to show Vaccine records to wash my pet at Pawtanicals?

Yes. Rabies and Distemper vaccinations are required by law.

Dog Tags DO NOT count as proof of vaccinations.

For Self-Service appointments, updated vaccination records are required if you would like to add nail trimming to your visit.

Am I required to sign a release form for any services?

Yes. All clients are required to sign our General Policy and Liability Release before receiving any services at Pawtanicals. You can review the policy here before booking.

Are there dog breed restrictions?

We welcome all dog breeds. However, Pawtanicals is not a training facility. We will try our best to bring a stressful-free experience when washing your dog. If we see your dog is stressed and un-communicative, we will call you back to pick up your dog, recommend a trainer, and work with you to break that fear/trauma your dog has with bathing. Please be considerate of time. You book us to wash your dog not to train him/her.

We are currently NOT accepting new husky or triple coat clients for bathing. Self Service option is open. The time needed to properly wash and de-shed this breed is more than 3+ hours.
